This is an overview of the time commitment of FUSE activities for teachers entering their first year of Fellowship for the 2026-2027 school year:
Summer Professional Learning Institute (PLI)
FUSE Pre-Work June 6th-16th: Each Fellow must complete a 90-minute introductory online module prior to attending the summer PLI.
Summer PLI June 16-18: The summer PLI is a critical launch experience for all Fellows. This 2.5-day event features an engaging mix of interactive sessions, collaboration with Dr. David Yeager and the FUSE team, panels with former fellows, and an opportunity to build connections with more than 200 fellow teachers starting their FUSE journey. This will be a hybrid institute with options to join in person or virtually. (Location will be posted in January 2026)
Virtual Kick-Off Meeting (All Fellows)
- Each Monday and Wednesday at 2:00 Central Time starting in late July and running through Labor Day, we will hold a 30-minute virtual meeting to review the process for administering your Student Engagement Modules. Each fellow will register to attend one meeting the week before their first day of instruction with students. We will show you how to register in Canvas. If you are an international fellow, we will arrange an alternative time that suits you.
