The FUSE Summer Professional Learning Institutes (PLI) kickoff each fellow's journey. Multiple sessions are held each summer. Fellows are assigned to specific groups in order to maintain a healthy diversity of teachers and facilitate deeper collaboration. The connections our teachers forge during the summer PLIs serve as a launching point for continued networking and collaboration throughout the school year.
This page contains detailed information about lodging and schedules. When booking your hotel rooms and making travel plans, be sure you are using the correct dates for the PLI your teachers are attending. Year 1 Fellows will attend the PLI on June 25-27 and returning Year 2 Fellows will attend the July 9-10 PLI. All sessions are held at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center at the University of Texas at Austin.
Credit Card Authorization Form
School districts: Use this form to ensure room, parking charges ($21/day), and incidentals hold are made to the district credit card.
Instructions for form: AT&T will need this credit card authorization form for each guest indicating which of the charges will be covered by selecting approved charges (including parking). Under “other” you can specify that you would like to cover incidentals as well. If not, the teachers will be asked to place a card on file at check in. It will authorize the card for $75 per night and those charges will be removed 3-7 business days after they check out. The card will be charged as requested
Once you fill out the form, send it to the front desk email, frontdesk@attconf.utexas.edu. They will notate each reservation and file the form for arrival.
Then the cardholder can call the main hotel line and let the desk know they sent over the authorization form, and give the full card number to save on file for teachers arrival.
